Nebraska’s elusive Leather Band, PLACK BLAGUE, has been on a rampant path of destruction, sex, and leather mayhem for over a decade. Playing everywhere from large theater venues, dive bars, art galleries, dingy basements, and even children’s television shows; the masked monstrosity continues to attract and confuse audiences varying from dance party club kids to heavy metal beer guzzlers. PLACK BLAGUE’s sound is a vile combination of primitive industrial noise, sadistic Electronic Body Music, heavy beats, and a touch of Black Metal. The live show has been noted as a “must see” spectacle of muscle flexing for hardcore and dance lovers of all kinds. Since 2012’s oddly acclaimed Heavy Leather! album released on the French freakout label, BTK Recordz, PLACK BLAGUE has released an assortment of dance-y noise tracks with Deathbomb Arc Records, remixes for Human Traffic, The Faint, Hot Nerdz plus collaborative tracks with Illusion of Safety/{AN} Eel, and mixtapes for The Brvtalist, NVR MND and Substance. In 2014, Cubicle Records (based out of Los Angeles) released the 5 track 7″ ep titled, LEATHER BAND, which includes the single, Boyz Club. That same year, PLACK BLAGUE was also awarded the Best Progressive Rock / Experimental / EDM for the 2014 Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards based out of Nebraska. Since early 2015, PLACK BLAGUE has performed an assortment of diverse shows and bills coast to coast including headlining slots at Los Angeles’ Mustache Mondays, San Francisco’s UnReaL/DEVICE party, and Minneapolis Industrial-Noise Fest. Blague has shared the stage with an eclectic array of artists locally and nationally, including opening slots for Psychic TV, Ssion, Big Freedia, 3Teeth, Limp Wrist and Powerman5000. In 2016, PLACK BLAGUE released the dark and sadistic, erotic exhibitionist music video for The Touch which was released through the Los Angeles webzine, The Brvtalist. The Blague is also known for their music video appearances which include artists such as Egyptian Lover, Icky Blossoms, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult and also unmasked appearances in videos for Perfume Genius and Leaether Strip.
