KZUM presents Stransky Park Concert Series 2017

This week we bring you Bernardus

Bernardus’ ambient folk rock sound, uniquely paired with lead singer Ben Kramer’s singer/songwriter style of lyrics, brings a tone that is best described as alternative Americana through a modern pop lens. Together as a 5 piece, the band recently released their first album; a self titled EP containing 5 songs. The Lincoln Journal Star calls it, “Impressive, from the songs to the performance and the production, establishing Bernardus as one of the best new outfits on the Lincoln scene.

KZUM is entering its fourth year operating the concert series and this summer will mark the 14th consecutive year of live music at Stransky Park. The series will continue to be FREE and family friendly.

Concerts will begin at 7 p.m. every Thursday — weather permitting — from May 25 through August 3 at Stransky Park, 17th Street & Harrison Avenue (3 blocks south of South Street).

Performers are supported in part by tips from the audience. Blankets and/or lawn chairs are encouraged. This year, food trucks and children’s activities will be present during the weekly concerts.
