Evan Bartels w/ Joe Stevens, Clay Hughes and Sam Stacy at Duffy’s Tavern

Evan Bartels (folk/country – Tobias)
In the past few years, Evan Bartels has deftly found the middle ground between the roots genres proliferating through Lincoln. Bartels’ deep and soulful voice is buoyed by his country-rock band. On one song, the group will belt a thunderous romp suited to a night out dancing. On another, they’re a stripped-down blues group, plumbing for bare emotions. Bartels connects it all with his ear for stirring melody and stinging lyrics.

Joe Stevens (Sacramento, CA)
North American singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Joe Stevens is a third-generation professional musician in a long line of restless westward moving souls. He caught the songwriting bug at 15 and has been at it ever since, finding many ways to use the craft to pitch in for the human cause. Originally from Sacramento, California, he received a Bachelor of Music from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA, and has been touring and wandering the US for the last ten years.

Clay Hughes (Kansas City)
Clay Hughes is a singer/songwriter, from Kansas City, with almost every iron in the fire. Sharing the stage with a wide variety of nationally touring acts Chali 2na, ZZ Ward, k.flay, Ha Ha Tonka, Watsky, Mac Lethal, and more. Clay made a name for himself early on in his career. Featuring a strong list of producers, including Tonka’s Lennon Bone and KC hip hop legend Rich Lester, Hughes has been able to blend and cross over a variety of genres. After taking time off from recording the last 2+ years, to focus on writing and touring, Clay Hughes has been back in the studio. Stay tuned.

Sam Stacy (Lincoln, NE)
Sam Stacy is a young John Mayer/Jack Johnson-style, local singer/songwriter, and pretty incredible guitar player!
