Axcess was born in Huntsville, Alabama where he spent his early childhood years. Later Moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado Eli “Axcess” Hammond found his love for music after being brought up on reggae by his father. Axcess found his first interest in hip hop music when he heard Wreckx-N-Effect’s “Rump Shaker” on the radio. Growing up playing multiple sports, Axcess got a scholarship to play football at the University of Nebraska at Kearney where he was a all conference receiver. After receiving his degree in K-12 Health and Physical Education, Axcess is now teaching and coaching at a inner city middle school in Omaha, Nebraska. Realizing the impact of music on children, Axcess devotes his music to make a positive impact in his community. In an earlier interview Axcess said, “I use my music like I do with my students. I preach about life, and my stories of how I grew up to be a better individual.” As of now his second album “Growth” is finished, and is set to release at The Waiting Room Lounge (Omaha, NE) August 20th, 2014.
