Anthems, The Decaturs and Vince Giambattista at 402 Arts Collective

ANTHEMS, THE DECATURS & VINCE GIAMBATTISTA. Friday, Feb 20th 2015, Starts at 7pm, $6 door.

ANTHEMS: As their name suggests, the Omaha band’s songs seem most suited for a roomful of people who, if not singing along, at least would like to learn the words so next time they won’t miss shouting the chorus, drinks held aloft. In the tradition of Bruce Springsteen through Rise Against, Against Me and Gaslight Anthem, that room could equally be a dingy corner bar or a packed arena. It’s music that fills the space, any space, but is lofty enough not to bear down on an audience.

THE DECATURS: The Decaturs are a rock n’ roll blues band from Omaha, Nebraska formed in 2011 by high school friends Charlie Encell (guitar & vocals), Ryan Call (bass & vocals) and Patrick Stuzman (drums).
Don’t let their age fool you, these guys are incredible musicians with rock star qualities on stage. With influences ranging from Zeppelin to Jack White and Phish to Wilco, this band will make your jaw drop as they rule the stage like veterans with their gritty blues-infused rock songs.

VINCE GIAMBATTISTA: You may recognize Vince from bands such as Blue Bird, Ten Club, Mandown, Old Boy Network & Secret Weapon. After writing solo material for about 2 years its time to start playing out.
