Annalibera is a project founded by Nebraskan Anna Gebhardt in 2010 when she started composing songs in the bedroom of her college apartment. In 2012 she began playing shows in Des Moines, Iowa with guitarist Ryan Stier (of the River Monks and Extravision). That fall the pair teamed up with Phil Young (of TIRES) in the recording studio and he joined the group on bass, bringing his then-drummer Chris Marshall with him. Nicholas Naioti (of MR NASTI) joined as drummer on tour in 2013 and has been playing with them ever since.
Classically-trained singer and pianist Anna Gebhardt escaped the opera world, joined with three Iowa D.I.Y. music scene veterans and multi-instrumentalists, and since then they’ve toured and played festivals around the Midwest. In 2014 they self-produced their debut LP, Nevermind I Love You, at Phil’s studio Wabi Sound. Set for release on Sump Pump Records March 24, 2015, Nevermind I Love You was described by BBC writer Andy Von Pip as “one of the most spellbindingly beautiful, assured and astonishing debut albums we’ve heard in quite some time.”

Iska Dhaaf: (New York)- Inspired by Sufi poetry, limitation, and an obsessive preoccupation with writing, Nathan Quiroga and Benjamin Verdoes have fused their seemingly disparate musical and personal backgrounds into something searching and honest. Their songs, with heavy rhythms and cutting melodic hooks, are at once infectious and sweetly disarming.
