“We Are the Sons and Daughters of Woody Guthrie” by Red City Radio | HN Live Video

I'd never seen crowd surfing on stage before Red City Radio's set at Double Down Live at Fest 10 in Gainesville, Fla. On a bill that included Nothington, A Wilhelm Scream and The Riot Before's final show, The Oklahoma City punk band (whose drummer, Dallas Tidwell, is from Nebraska) closed the night as they often do, eschewing mics to belt out into the packed venue the opening lines of what is essentially their title track from their 2009 EP "To the Sons and Daughters of Woody Guthrie."

They weren't alone for long.

The band, which has a full-length out on Paper+Plastick called "The Dangers of Standing Still," plays Tuesday, March 20 at The Sandbox, 2406 Leavenworth St. at 7 p.m. with Elway (Fort Collins), One for the Outcasts (Omaha) and Dsm-5 (Omaha). Tickets are $5 at the door. More info here.
