Welcome back to the second installment of Lucky 7. Today, I'm happy to bring you the multi-talented Sara Bertuldo, guitarist and vocalist in Honey & Darling and Millions of Boys.
Shaun: What was the name of the first song your wrote?
Sara: Atwater. I lived in Los Angeles very briefly in 2006 and Atwater Village was the neighborhood that I lived in.
SM: Very first local show you attended?
SB: The first local show was something at the Ranch Bowl. I was probably 14 or so at the time. I want to say maybe 8th Wave played...
SM: The Very first show you performed?
SB: It was the summer of 2007. I opened for Alina Simone and Alela Diane at the Waiting Room. It was a good first experience and both were very talented women.
SM: Favorite Nebraska band Past / Present?
SB: I really loved Criteria. I was pretty obsessed with En Garde when it out. As for new bands, I like Anniversaire, The Machete Archive, Cat Island, Borealis, Talking Mountain... there's quite a few.
SM: Describe yourself on stage in one word?
SB: HELLO?
SM: Your pet or your instrument?
SB: I don't have a pet. But I would like one. Though I would like a Fender Jaguar more.
SM: Favorite Word or Saying?
SB: "I need a taco in my life." Or I replace the word "taco" with any other food item.
SM: Any parting words?
SM: Nebraska! open your eyes, ears & hearts. music is for everyone.
Tune in next week for another installment and keep supporting local music.
