a cool hip spot run by Joe Benson. this upstairs venue may be a little hard to find, but it's well worth the effort. It's above the Lutheran Thrift Store and 4 Aces Convenience store on Leavenworth and the northwest corner of 24th St right across the street from the 11worth Cafe. Formally known as the 0riface (practice spot for the Faint), now the "old" 0riface to some, this place has hosted the Rat Fest, the Donut Hill art show benefit, as well as a number of underground and local hip-hop/punk/indie/art shows and is now doing more shows and weekly events. Shows are hosted only on weekends (Fridays, Saturdays and occasionally Sunday) and the Sandbox is only "open" when there is an event.
