Holy crap I'm tired. I only got about 2 hours of sleep last night. We left Austin at about 10, later than we wanted. We picked up Scott Matthews in Greenville, near his parents house in Bonham.  We got to Little Rock in time to set up, sound check, and eat. Stickyz has some delicious food! I had a "Free Bird Sammy".  It's a grilled chicken sandwich. It was great. On this trip our bass player is Huck Johnson. It's his first trip out with us and we're enjoying the chance to get to know him better. He brought along his bass fiddle, and left his electric bass in Austin. He did a great job tonight on the bass parts and on his vocal parts.

The show was two 60-minute sets. The crowd was not a huge as it could have been, but it's Wednesday night. The folks that were there had a lot of fun. They were dancing, and buying us rounds of drinks. The only real drama of the evening happened during set #2. The soundman at Stickyz is a guy named Maestro. We've worked with him for years. He is very good at what he does. At some point during Bill Dogett's "Honky Tonk" the stage lights all went dark. We looked back at the sound booth to notice that Maestro had temporarily left and some bar patrons were behind the sound board partying. They were escorted out of the bar shortly thereafter. We were called back to do an encore tonight. That's always a nice thing. After the show we spent some time watching Scott throw rocks at a dumpster in the alley. Then we drove around looking for a place to stay, finally settling on the Holiday Inn out by the airport.

We don't have to check out until 1:00 tomorrow. That's good news because I'm falling asleep even as I type this. Ugh. We need to be in Washington D.C. on Friday night, but we have tomorrow off. I think we'll drive to Roanoke VA. That's usually where we stay.

Good night everybody!!
