“Money Train” by Classes | Sound Surveillance

words by Michael Todd | video by Sound Surveillance

Rarely do so few words say so much. "I want to die while I'm still alive," forces life to have meaning.

On a Sunday night back in April, Daniel Dorner sang that short but sweet line that lives in "Money Train," a song that violist Jordan Ellis and percussionist Ian Francis have helped the band Classes adopt. Sound Surveillance was there to capture the performance on film. The sound might be fuller and the beats-per-minute might have increased since Dorner's solo production, examined here, but the message stays the same.

See Classes alongside Masses, no relation, Thunder Power and Gus & Call as part of the Eli Mardock-curated and -headlined Maha Showcase on Saturday at Duffy's Tavern. The show starts at 8 p.m. and is 21+ with no cover.
