Saturday marks Record Store Day internationally, and Omaha songwriters Matt Whipkey and Brad Hoshaw are releasing a split 7-inch together across Nebraska record stores.

Debuting the acoustic songs "I Miss You" from Whipkey and "Sorry" from Hoshaw, the release will be a hand-stamped limited edition, colored split. The vinyl single also marks the inaugural release of Omaha-based music photographer Chip Duden’s 7-inch label Duden Ranch Records. The split will be stocked in Omaha at Homer's, Almost Music and Saddle Creek Shop, and in Lincoln at Lefty's Records and Recycled Sounds.

To promote the release, Whipkey and Hoshaw — who play together in the band Brad Hoshaw & the Seven Deadlies — are giving away # 001 of the limited 300 copies. Enter to win the unique first copy in the limited run by RSVP-ing to this Facebook event by noon this Friday.

To catch up on their other recent work, listen to Hoshaw's Funeral Guns here and Whipkey's Penny Park: Omaha, NE: Summer 1989 here.
