Make Air, Not War | Video Feature

Duffy’s in Lincoln made history this past weekend, sort of. Seven rockers participated in the first-ever Capital City Air Guitar Competition on Saturday, April 28.

KZUM DJs The Duke and Rev Smooth hosted the event, and the contestants all donned humorous outfits and got ready to air-rock the stage.

The first round featured some obvious jitters from a few of the contestants who were clearly not unleashing all of their “airness.” That changed with a sweat-filled, beer-drenched set from Joe Younglove, though.

Soon, Duffy’s turned into somewhat of a traffic accident for anyone who stumbled into the bar looking for a nice place to relax with a fishbowl. They weren’t sure what was going on, but most who came in stayed and stared.
