LYS plays side-by-side with LSO to premiere a piece commissioned from UNL composer Damon Thomas Lee. Influenced by the poetry of Adolph Boettger, Schumann’s Spring Symphony vividly conjures the spirit of spring. Stravinsky’s avant-garde masterpiece, The Rite of Spring, requires a massive symphonic force that will resonate with the audience, leaving a lasting impression of grandeur.
