It almost reads like a mission: More than 70 bands will pack four Lincoln venues over four days.

This year's Lincoln Exposed festival, the ninth annual, will bring together a diverse music community. Duffy's Tavern, The Zoo Bar, The Bourbon and Parrish Studios will host blues and bluegrass, metal and polka, hip-hop and hard rock.

Booked by Duffy's Jon Dell, The Zoo Bar's Josh Hoyer and The Bourbon's Spencer Munson, this year's festival will kick off on Wednesday at 6 p.m. and continue through Saturday night. Cover is $6 per day on Wednesday and Thursday, and $8 per day on Friday and Saturday.
