It's been a little more than a month since we launched Holla HN, and since then, we've heard it all.

Concert announcements, newly written songs, drunk dials, bathroom jingles, occasional dead air. You've given us regular updates from the Maha Music Festival, called in jam sessions and requests to hang out. While we didn't know what to expect from our voicemail service, it's been a treat to listen to your stories, updates and a cappella singing.

Today, we begin weekly compilations of some of the most notable recorded performances. We hope to keep hearing from you about your band, your friends' bands and your poems concerning the plight of ancient Egyptians. If we've missed the biggest event of the year, let us know, and we could post your rant to the site. If we covered something well, we'd like to hear from you. And if you don't know what to say, scroll on down for this week's prompt.

This week's prompt:

Tell us about a song you've included on a mix for someone else. It could be your dad's favorite Hank Williams song you included on his Father's Day gift CD. It could be the opening track from the cassette you poured hours into, hoping it would be your way back into her heart. Whatever the reason, share your story and please don't be boring.

Call 231.HollaHN (231.465.5246) and knock our socks off.
