“Dirt Roads” by The Great American Desert | Brightest Whisper Video

words by Michael Todd | video by Brightest Whisper

Max Holmquist made for himself quite the birthday present: a vinyl release show. Having celebrated another year on Tuesday, his musical side, The Great American Desert, plays The Waiting Room tonight with Betsy Wells, Millions of Boys and Family Picnic.

Carson City, Holmquist's third release but his first under the moniker of The Great American Desert, is the Nebraska native alone with his guitar. For those who can't make the show, pre-orders are available through Bandcamp. The album will be formally released through Yer Bird Records on June 26.

To preview tonight's concert with a concert of yore, push play on this latest Brightest Whisper offering with The Great American Desert performing "Dirt Roads" at The Slowdown on May 23. Just remember to drive safely.
