“California” by Landing On The Moon l Ingrained Video

by Andrew Roger

Landing On The Moon is one of my favorite local bands names — mostly because it's historically epic. I've seen the Omaha band a few times at the Barley Street, but I was able to catch them at The Slowdown playing at Fortnight's EP release show a little while back. As we turned our cameras on to record, singer John Klemmensen noted that next song, "California," isn't really about the West Coast — it's about the state of the our cities' music scene.

And with such good hooks, LOTM is making the whole sunny state jealous this song isn't really about them. You decide if this song is an anthem for Omaha, Nebraska, the Midwest, or just for friends.
