The Big Deep is a roots rock band from Omaha, Nebraska. The 2011 OEAA Best New Artist Nominee releases their debut CD “Roman Empire” at this show accompanied by three of their favorite Omaha bands. Admission includes a digital copy of their debut CD. The Big Deep’s music blends rock, folk, Americana and alt. country with carefully crafted lyrics touching on themes of society and family strife and love – won and lost. Shimmery acoustics melt into gritty distortion. Sweet melodies twist into shout-along hand-clapping frenzied passages. It’s sincere, singable and heartfelt, but above all, it’s just a good damn time.
