First Friday in Benson was a great time to "Break Shit" and relieve stress on Aug. 3, 2012. A new co-operative art space just south of Barley Street called Sweat Shop (Editor's Note: read KVNO's story about these punks) offered glassware for destroying, not drinking at this event, while displaying artist Scott Blake's famous giant penis prop, in the flesh.

Simon Joyner celebrated the release of his new double-LP, Ghosts in front of packed crowd at The Sydney with Lightning Bug, Solid Goldberg and Sun Settings. Lincoln musicians and artists got acquainted with BFF in an all-night, arts-and-music collaboration at PS Collective (I caught Touch People in action as he was finishing up his set). And a crazy light show ensued at Parlour 1887 as Talking Mountain bumped some dancing grooves. See what Nicholas O'Bradovich and I saw below:
