Abandon Kansas has had a momentous last few years with lineup changes, new records, and national tours. Signed to Gotee Records (Relient K, House of Heroes) in 2009, named AP Magazine’s band to watch in 2010, winner of a SESAC award and nominated for a Dove award for best rock album for their latest release “Ad Astra Per Aspera” in 2011, there’s plenty more excitement to come. Music videos for record singles “The Golden State”, “Heaven Come My Way”, and “Like It Or Not” were featured on national video outlets and Relevant magazine describes the music as a “euro-rock feel with Kings of Leon swagger” with a live to show to back it up. AK has been winning crowds alongside bands like Anberlin, Needtobreathe, The Classic Crime, Showbread, The Wedding, Run Kid Run, and plenty more the last four years on the road. Press outlets insist that when you see this band live you should expect “genuine, heartfelt lyrics”, a “unique soundscape delivered with relentless energy”, and “an authentic message of hope communicated effectively by the charisma of frontman Jeremy Spring.” Catch the new single “Chariot” on christian and rock radio in 2012.
