Big Harp releases new video, album details; Lars and Mal at Reverb; Remembering Sean Benjamin

Los Angeles-via-Omaha band Big Harp premiered a new music video yesterday on Impose Magazine for their song “Numbers.”

“Numbers” is the first single off a forthcoming self-titled album, following 2011’s White Hat and 2013’s Chain Letters, both released on Saddle Creek.

In the Impose article, husband-and-wife duo Chris Senseney and Stefanie Drootin-Senseney discuss aesthetics for the video — based on German Beat Club performances from the ‘70s — direction for the new album and adding a new member.

Big Harp recently brought on a full-time drummer, Daniel Ocanto of Gus and Call. The band plays in Omaha on Dec. 27 with The Good Life at The Waiting Room. RSVP here.

“Numbers” shows a Big Harp that continues the move from the rustic Americana of their debut album toward a more psychedelic freak folk. See the video below.
