C Balta’s Take Cover Song | Concert Preview

The song that I will be covering is "Keys" by Good with Guns.

GWG has to be my favorite Lincoln band that has ever existed. The lyrics of "Keys" have such a down feeling to them, but I feel like it comes from very beneficial realizations about life and the world. Craig Reier's lyrics feel somewhat familiar and similar to lyrics that I have written, so I feel like I can kind of relate to what the song is saying.

Also, the lyrics make mention of what I believe to be the stint of time Craig lived in a huge white house near Russ's on 17th and Washington. I remember there being a lot of porch sitting while discussing many aspects of life, etc. with his friends and roommates, which brings back a kind of sense of nostalgia for that time in my life as well.
