Rita Hosking hails from northern California and sings of forest fires, culture clashes, demolition derbies, the working class, and hope. Descended from Cornish miners who sang as they worked, Rita grew up with deep regard for folk music and the power of voice. Her style of country-folk has been praised for its sense of story and of place. She has recorded five albums since she began in 2005.
