CAKE EATER
DJ & PRODUCER
LINCOLN/OMAHA, NE (US)

[ARTIST] BAD SHOES RECORDS (US), DEFY MUSIC (US)

MIDWEST BASED ELECTRONIC MUSIC PRODUCER
HARD TROPICAL BASS & BOOTY RAVE

"Cake Eater certainly has no fear expressing his imaginative bass aspiration. Finding the progressive heart of bass music is no easy feat with labels both stateside and abroad pushing a seemingly never-ending variety of genres at a growing-in-interest dance music population. However, it's entirely possible to suppose that Cake Eater - a producer based in the humble heart of the midwest, Lincoln, Nebraska - can procure a unique sound in the midst of all the insanity. This producer has also caught the attention and support of San Francisco, California based record label Bad Shoes Records, which has been his primary resources for releasing his sound over the last year and a half. Most recently releasing a full length LP entitled, Jangala which delivers 13 action packed compositions."

"The eponymous Cake Eater sound has been described as clubby, hard, heavy and even sub-atomic. Combining elements of Baltimore Club, Kuduru, Rave, Modern House and Tropical Bass on paper sounds like a dynamic hodgepodge of influences foreign to one another, however he combines these elements and makes it work."

"In a producer being the product of his inspirations - and as well being in able to access and express them in an era where it feels like everything likely sounds the same, Cake Eater makes being different awesome and entirely attainable."

"The Midwest is definitely on the come up with some crazy talent and Cake Eater has to be near the top of that list. With a crazy take on where electro can really go, he's locked in a completely original sound with a ton of energy." —Brent (DoAndroidsDance.com - 50 under 5000 Article - February 10, 2014)

"I am very impressed with this new talent."
