Biography

Ramon Diaz de Leon (more commonly known as "Ramon Brown" to the music world) has been laying down creative, introspective lyrics over Hip Hop instrumentals for nearly 12 years. Proud son of Mexican immigrants from Monterrey, NL, Brown has called Lincoln, Nebraska his home for over a decade. In that short amount of time he has made a name for himself by releasing music with a diverse sound (with the help of his in house producer Heavy Z) accompanied by shows that are incomparable (performed with fellow MC Tommy J). His explosive introduction into the game came with the release of his first mixtape "Allow Me To Introduce Myself" which rocked the city of Lincoln by moving over 500 copies in only 2 months. His follow up project entitled "Mixtape Hustle" would spawn multiple hits including "Super Nintendo Swag" & "Light Me Up". Capitalizing on the momentum he created selling mixtapes hand to hand Brown went viral, releasing music videos online that have generated nearly 400,000 youtube views (Youtube Channel: itsbrownbaby1). With his online presence firmly cemented Brown set out to create a musical score that would detail his family's turbulent journey from constant struggle to the unlikely success that allowed him to attend college and his family to flourish. Two years after the first track was written "Academic Probation" was released (October of 2012) and widely received by critics and fans alike as a clear sign of Brown's growth both lyrically and spiritually. Brown shows off his diversity throughout the album by giving you a firsthand look into the highs and lows of a young man trying to enjoy his youth while dealing with issues that range from today’s tough economy, to the universal fear of failing shared by all those chasing unconventional dreams, to the ever controversial hot topic of immigration. After considering a number of lucrative offers, at the end of 2012 he signed with a well established Record Label out of the Midwest called Original 5 Productions. One thing is certain, 2013 will be nothing short of amazing as Original 5 Productions sets out to transform Brown from a local super star to a national sensation where he will undoubtedly be hailed as one of Hip Hops few remaining gems.
